Scrum

Scrum is an agile project management framework used to develop complex products. It emphasizes iterative development, frequent inspection, and adaptation.

Scrum teams work in short, fixed-length iterations called sprints that are typically 2-4 weeks long. At the start of each sprint, the team selects items from the prioritized product backlog to complete during that sprint. Each day, the team meets for a brief daily scrum meeting to inspect progress and identify any impediments. At the end of the sprint, the team demonstrates a potentially shippable product increment at the sprint review meeting. The sprint retrospective meeting is used to inspect how the last sprint went and identify improvements for the next sprint. Key roles in scrum include the product owner who manages the backlog and priorities, and the scrum master who facilitates the events, removes impediments, and helps the team follow scrum properly. Overall, scrum emphasizes transparency, inspection, and adaptation to allow teams to rapidly build complex products in an iterative manner.
